Medical language exam in Hamburg - Successful licensing
If you want to work in Germany as a doctor from abroad, you not only need specialist medical knowledge, but also excellent German language skills - especially in a professional context. A decisive step on the way to a license to practice medicine is the Medical language proficiency test (FSP)in Hamburg by the Hamburg Medical Association is carried out.
Legal basis for the technical language test
The technical language test is part of the Approval procedure according to the Federal Medical Code (§ 3 BÄO) and the Licensing regulations for doctors (ÄAppO). It serves as proof that foreign doctors have the necessary Professional German language skills at level C1 of the CEFR have.

Requirements for registration for the FSP in Hamburg:

What can you expect in the technical language test?
The exam simulates a typical work situation in everyday clinical practice and consists of three parts:
