Who can participate in the professional skills development?
The AVGS program is aimed at migrants, refugees, and job seekers with German language skills of level A2 or higher who are registered with the Federal Employment Agency or the job center. Do I need a B1 certificate to participate?
No. The measure is a practical alternative to the B1 German courses and B2 German courses. You start with A2 proficiency and systematically build up your business language skills during the course.
Does the course take place online or in Hamburg?
Both are possible. You can complete the 160 teaching units entirely online in 8 weeks or in person at our training center in Hamburg. As an individual measure, the schedule will be tailored to you individually.
How much does participation cost?
With an AVGS, participation is 100 % free of charge for you—the Employment Agency or Job Center covers the full cost. There are no out-of-pocket expenses or hidden fees.
